INTRODUCTION TO CREATIVE WRITING (ENGLISH 59)
You’ll encounter both traditional and innovative ways of writing poetry, fiction, and nonfiction.

CREATIVE WRITING: FICTION (ENGLISH 56)
You will experiment, a lot, with writing, and you’ll write a number of short stories.

CREATIVE WRITING: POETRY (ENGLISH 57)
You’ll discover the many forms of writing poetry. Yes, there will be quite a bit of rap. It might get loud!

CREATIVE WRITING: NONFICTION (ENGLISH 58)
You’ll get to practice in the art of writing nonfiction, including autobiography and memoir, cultural memoir and critique, nature, travel, and community writing, and literary journalism.

CREATIVE WRITING: SCREENWRITING (ENGLISH 60)
You’ll practice the art of writing screenplays and scripts and study model screenplays. You will also be encouraged to engage and participate in the many film-related activities in Brooklyn and beyond.
